Repertory theatre is a common practice in American and British professional theatre. Historically, a theatre would have a resident acting company with a diverse group of actors to cover any role in a given production throughout the season. The actors would rehearse a show over the course of a week and immediately put it up. This process could be repeated over multiple productions. Although the process has changed to allow for different casts and longer runs, the idea of allowing audiences to see 2-3 different productions over the course of one weekend remains the same.
Little Theatre of the Rockies utilizes the practice of rotating repertory to give Greeley audiences the unique opportunity to see three completely different shows over the course of one weekend! This summer, you can catch Vanya & Sonia & Masha & Spike, Godspell, and Dogfight in rotating repertory throughout the month of July!
